I don’t get it. Explanation for the code-illiterate among us?
see aquaryus’ reply just below
So if you apply the scanlate function to a list that has a head (x) and a tail (xs) you get a list of crap. Never did get haskell 😛
Thanks, btw!
empty list is best case 😛

Thanks Turnip!!!! 😀
thanks again for the stellar work..
Thanks for the chapters guys! Quick questions,
1) Oshit – can you share some tips or point in the right direction regarding tutorials for scanlation (- translation of course).
2) Gongitraped is mysterious… whats the deal? O.o
Gongitraped is a pet troll I keep in a cage.
On scanlation, there’s not much to say.
For editing, make sure you are proficient at English.
For cleaning, at the minimum, you need to be familiar with Topaz Clean and Denoise, Leveling and using the Burn Tool. Optionally, knowing how to use other filters like Unsharp Mask and Neat Image is useful. There are many tutorials online on how to use these tools.
For redawing, all you need is the Clone tool, Eraser, Black Brush, time and practice. If able, typeset before redrawing. It’s faster to just fill in the blanks rather than the entire image.
For typesetting, make sure you aren’t cockeyed or on acid.
Is there anything in particular you want to know about?
I am just starting out and i am really passionate about it. I wanted a road map kinda thingy. I will definitely look into all the things you mentioned, i will try to connect the dots. Primarily, i am interested in becoming a cleaner, redrawer (like you!?).
How and when did you start out? Do you have a list of some good tutorials?
Thanks a ton. 😀
Incredibly basic guide to scanlation without using filters:
http://www.insidescanlation.com/etc/The-Idiots-Guide-to-Editing-Manga/guide/main.html
Somewhat useful guides to using Topaz:

Mostly, you just learn to clean by playing around with all the options a lot and being happy with the final image.
There aren’t really any guides to redrawing. All it really requires is extensive use of the clone and brush tools and an eye for detail.
How the heck does she get to stay in his army?
Than you very much!
