From the day a Makou died, been saying the full Hishin unit will go to the right flank because that is Qin’s one remaining chance to win outright (rather than winning via stalling).
New guesses, the small square formation is going to feature a pretty complex battle. Ten will commit them to battle one by one, sending them to ideal positions to destablize the enemy lines. This allows granular control of the battlefield rather than the 10k blocks that the Zhao has been using. Big block combat is easy to direct, but at any time only a small number of men are fighting. The Hishin unit will be putting a lot more men into the fight this way, but these small formations are difficult to direct and also shows trust that these small squares are strong. They won’t keel over and die even if fully surrounded, pinning any force they engage and allowing cavalry to flank at will.

I have no idea how many men Ousen has left in the center. but while Riboku may need to make a move, how many more men can he afford to send? Will he decide to send them right away?
Ousen hinted at the fact that his calculations changed when he saw Mouten hold the left day two. He thinks Mouten will not need help. He also told Shin the right would not be further reinforced- therefore, the Hi Shin’s 8,000 is all he has to spare…
… which is for one of two reasons. A) he’d have too few men/be exposed if he sent more, or B) he’s waiting for Riboku to expose himself by reinforcing either field.
ousen started with 58k in the middle he sent makou 20k men to the left and 8 k to the right he has 30k men left in the center
riboku sent 10k to the right he has 50k left in the center
Although Riboku and Ou Sen appear in some kind of stalemate in this battlefield except right wing skirmishes, Riboku might be content with the slow conflict such as this because of the status of Qin’s army food reserves. so, he may not need to make a move openly in short time.
During attrition of Qin’s soldiers, If some Zhao troops should be passed the line of Qin, they will be able to attack Ousen from his back or harass Kan Ki to give a little more hope for the besieged city. I think that Ou Sen has got focus only for this battlefield now, but Riboku’s thoughts comprehend moves of troops on the scale of three battlefields (Gyou,Ryouyou and Shukai Plains) all together.
He is just waiting such a suitable time when military pieces arrive their planned locations.
It’s like Mr. Hara waited to get to the really awesome part until they were on break every other week… just to keep us in line

It’s worth noting, we just saw Ouhon make a basic but easy to make strategic mistake. He tried the same move twice in a row- heroically leading a small cavalry unit into the enemy’s weak spot.
Mistakes happen, but Ouhon definitely made one. You can see why doing the same thing twice can get you into trouble, because the enemy will anticipate it and set a trap, or dodge and counter, depending on the scale.

I think shin and ouhon are going to kill the two generals that fought under one of the Zhao 3 great heavens. It’s like these two are the new generation and to move into the new era they need to slay down their respected enemies of the past.
That’s what I think is going to unfold in the next 3-4 chapters

I can decide whether or not I think your comment is rude. And even if it was aimed at the publishers, they do not owe you the work they put into this series. If any mangaka, publisher, or translator wants to take a week off, it’s their right to do way without your commentary.
And yes, it is free. You don’t pay money to read the chapters. That’s what free means. And for the record, you don’t benefit the creators or publishers in any way unless you are buying the books from them, period.
Venku, I assumed that you just started reading Kingdom last year or so . If you started earlier than that you must have known that TF has been releasing 3-4 chapters every week from episode 1 until we catch up to the latest episode . Really a great job considering it’s free.

Regarding the mangaka breaks i have to say that its nor really required as a vacantion. I mean, as most people work way over 8 hours everyday, i don’t see how drawing a manga chapter once a week would be so hard to do. Expecially since manga is a big industry in Japan and most mangakas have assistens who basically can just pick a rough sketch with a few lines from the author and do all the heavy work. I can picture all the work done in 1 day, having the rest of the week free.
Now try to be a factory worker or something else. No matter how fast and well you do your job, the work will be endless and the employee will always work you nonstop.
And this is not me being a jackass, complaing about not getting a chapter every week, i can wait for the releases. Maybe its not so easy as it looks, but sure as hell isnt as shitty as other jobs.

I’ll tell ya what. Start putting out twenty pages of quality art a week and then come back and tell us how easy it is. More than anything I’m curious to hear how your wrist holds up. Please talk to some more actual artists before you say anything else.
It’s not as easy as it sounds, they’re probably feeling a bit burned out, it takes time to even figure out how to build the chapter, what’s going to happen? what are the characters going to say? which characters are going to be in focus in the chapter, what effects will be used?
Especially now when Kingdom is really on the rise in popularity, the demands for great chapters are increasing and don’t forget that the “assistants” probably have vacation-days that they’re using up.
I’d rather have an extra break if it means the chapter will be great.
